John Plastic

John Plastic was released in 2018 for MARS exhibition accompanied by artists Eme and J. Cuenco. Its distribution is exclusive to the exhibition night via. limited dvd copies and a partner poetry zine of the same title. Directed and shot on hi-8 tapes by R. Dela Rosa, John Plastic is an experimental collage-style film that explores identity through the symbolic killing of the white perception of self. The piece memorialises and reminisces on trauma through a tangled narrative that mimics the very nature of revisiting old selves and images.
